On Feb. 25, officers responded to Osceola Regional Medical Center in reference to elderly abuse. Upon arrival, officers spoke with a Kissimmee Fire Department paramedic who said he had been called to 1117 Hacienda Circle to tend to an elderly female who was having difficulty breathing. When the paramedic arrived, he found the 82-year-old victim lying in her own waste. The victim was in very poor health and the paramedic described the living conditions as the worst he had ever seen, according to the police report.

Officers responded to the address to talk with the victim’s daughter and caregiver, 46-year-old Corinne Marion, who was not at the residence. A short time later, officers contacted Marion at the hospital and requested to see the room in which her mother was living at the Hacienda Circle address. Marion refused. Officers contacted the Department of Children and Families and an adult protective investigator was assigned to the case. The victim was placed in DCF’s care.

On Monday, detectives obtained a search warrant for the home. Detectives reported that the room the victim was living in was completely covered with human waste and the mattress was soaked with urine.

Officers arrested the woman’s daughter and charged her with neglect of an elderly person. Marion was transported to the Osceola County Jail, where she was being held on a $10,000 bond.

Information about which theme park tickets were confiscated and how much the suspects were charging for them was not available at press time.

All suspects were booked into the Osceola County Jail.
