There’s no need to go to New Orleans when Mardi Gras is practically just around the corner.

Universal Orlando’s version of Mardi Gras already back in full-swing.

 

Mardi Gras, with authentic floats, beads and Louisiana cusinine, is at the theme park each Saturday night and select evenings through April 23.

The annual event also features headline performers. Already appearing at Mardi Gras was Frankie Vallie and the Four Seasons, the B-52s and KC & the Sunshine Band.

Tonight’s (Saturday) guest performer is Pitbull. Other concert dates include Lynyrd Skynyrd (March 5); Foreigher (March 12); Neon Trees (March 18); The Roots (March 19); OneRepublic (March 26); Blake Shelton (March 26); Sean Kingston (April 1); Ne-Yo (April 2); April 9 (Lifehouse); The Beach Boys (April16); Thirty Seconds to Mars (April 23).

The Mardi Gras event also features stiltwalkers, colorful costumes and dancers and more.

Universal has several Florida resident specials running concurrently with the Mardi Gras event.

Florida residents can save $10 on any annual pass with specially marked 20-packs of Coca-Cola. Some blockout dates do apply.

Also available is the (starting at) $99 Florida resident getaway. The special price includes two nights at a nearby Universal partner hotel; Florida resident two-day park ticket; admission to Mardi Gras; early park admission and access to live entertainment at CityWalk.

Florida resident tickets for Mardi Gras are $54.99 in advance.

There are more Florida resident offers for UniversalOrlando theme parks including the Pat O’Brien’s at CityWalk VIP ticket. The $20 ticket includes complimentary light appetizers, beer specials, discounts on hurricanes, beads and balcony access.
