MegaCon, coming to the Orange County Convention Center in March already includes guests Stan Lee and William Shatner.

The comic book convention has also announced a  number of cutting-edge award-winning independent films have been selected for presentation,  March 25-27.

 

Megacon's Indie Film Expo showcases cutting-edge short independent films in the genres of action, animation, anime, comedy, horror, super-heroes, science fiction, suspense, and zombie.

These fantastic films have been chosen by 3 Boys Productions, the founders of the Melbourne Independent Filmmakers Festival and coordinators of the Megacon Indie Film Expo, for their Friday night program at Megacon on March 25  at 6:30 -8 pm at the Orange County Convention Center.

As part of Megacon's "Indie Film Expo" program, a panel discussion on filmmaking will be hosted by "Students of the Unusual" publisher Terry Cronin on Saturday March 26. This will feature guest filmmakers and actors including guests Patrick Algermissen, Lear Bunda, Matt Cantu, Anthony Dones, Katharine Leis, Pat Martin, Brian Pulido, Bill Ronat, Steven Shea, Robby Sparks, Todd Thompson, John Ulloa, and Bill Williams(FMPTA). Other surprise celebrity guests and filmmakers are expected. Cronin states that "this is a unique opportunity to meet, network, and discuss independent filmmaking with the filmmakers themselves.

 

"MegaCon is the Southeast's largest comic book, science fiction/fantasy, anime, gaming, toys multi-media event.

Advance tickets can be ordered online. One day tickets are $23.96.  Three day tickets are $56.45. Tickets will be available at the door: $25 one day, $60 for a three day pass.Tickets for the William Shatner Captain's Reception are also available.
