The St. Cloud Police Department will participate in a Tip-A-Cop event Saturday from 7 to 11 a.m. at the Koffee Kup, 1407 13th St., to help raise awareness and support for Special Olympics programs.

Police Chief Pete Gauntlett, Deputy Chief Vinny Shepard and police personnel will assist Koffee Kup staff with breakfast. Tips received will benefit the nonprofit organization that provides sports training and competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. The police department also will have Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run T-shirts and hats available for purchase. The event is open to the public.
