Osceola High weightlifter Zanquina Ellison won the Florida High School Athletic Association 129-pound state championship at the Kissimmee Civic Center Saturday.

Ellison had a total lift of 330 pounds to win her second state title. She won the 119-pound championship two years ago.

Poinciana's Kandra Anderson placed second at 183 pounds with a total lift of 335 pounds.

Harmony lifter Melissa Albert finished third at 139 pounds with a total of 320 pounds.

St. Cloud's Iliana Bonilla lifted 225 pounds in the 101 pound weight class and her teammate, Annie Barberi, lifted 245 pounds in the 110-pound division, but neither placed among the top six.

Osceola High lifter Tynia Gaither did not make weight at 119 pounds and did not compete.
