Harmony High Athletic Director Chuck Hitt said Saturday that former Longhorns defensive coordinator Jerrad Butler is the school’s new football coach.

Butler, the girls weightlifting coach and the girls track coach, is a 1996 St. Cloud High graduate.

Butler was the defensive coordinator under Tyler Anderson in 2007 when Harmony reached the regional finals.

“I feel blessed to have this position,” Butler said.

Butler said he plans to have his staff in place by the end of next week.

Butler replaced Dayne Brown, who stepped down earlier this year.
