Osceola High got 24 points from Antonio Benitez to beat rival Liberty, 73-59, Tuesday at the 5A-5 boys basketball tournament at Davenport Ridge Community High.

The No. 10-ranked Kowboys, 21-6, meet Haines City, a 56-52 winner over Winter Haven,  Friday at 6 p.m. in the semifinal round at Ridge Community High. Lake Wales plays Ridge Community in the other semifinal at 8 p.m. Winners meet for the championship Saturday at 7 p.m.

Liberty was led by Jason Bennett (16) and Oscar Alvarado (12).Life Christian defeated Sonrise, 56-34, at the A-7 tournament at Winter Haven All Saints High Tuesday.
The Lions play Vanguard Saturday at 7 p.m. at All Saints for the title.
The 4A-6 district tournament begins today at St. Cloud High. Oak Ridge plays Celebration at 4:30 p.m.; Poinciana plays Tavares at 6 p.m. and St. Cloud meets Harmony at 7:30 p.m.

The semifinals are Friday at 5:30 and 7 p.m.
