McMillon

Osceola County Sheriff’s Office detectives have arrested Raymond McMillon, 39, of 1504 Bassett Road, Jacksonville, and charged him with filing a false report to law enforcement and false official statement.

The investigation began Monday just before 7 p.m. when deputies responded to the Econolodge at 4669 W. U.S. Highway 192 in Kissimmee. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with McMillon, who indicated he was standing in front of the Econolodge asking people for money when a black male approached him, struck him in the face and took his money before leaving the area.

Deputies spoke with witnesses, who said McMillon had a verbal argument with a man who struck him, but at no time did the man take McMillon’s money. Detectives are investigating the allegation that McMillon was struck in the face but, based on the information provided by witnesses, and the fact McMillon told deputies he was robbed, he was arrested for filing a false report. He was booked into the Osceola County Jail.
