Several members of the Gateway High School Dance Team who attended summer camp were invited to audition for the Eastern Dance Association.
Two dancers auditioned and were accepted by the Eastern Dance Association. They are Payton Hinton, who attends Harmony High School, and Allison Orlando, from Gateway High School.
This opportunity allows the girls to travel around the country to teach dance to teams.
Extended learning on Saturdays
Gateway High School students are encouraged to attend Saturday morning extended learning opportunities from 9 a.m. to noon in the school's media center.
Students can work on FCAT Explorer, Empower 3000, IMPACT and I Can Learn Lab, plus seek tutoring from qualified instructors.
FCAT is just around the corner, and this is a great way to get extra help in order to make gains in test scores.
Students who attend these sessions will receive Panther Silver Dollars, attendance tickets for extra credit in classes and free pizza for lunch.
