Several county basketball teams saw district games postponed Tuesday because of severe thunderstorms.

Osceola’s 5A District 5 game at Liberty has been moved to Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Celebration will host Tavares Monday at 7:30 p.m. in district 4A-6.

Osceola, 14-5, clinched the Orange Belt Conference championship Saturday, 68-31, over Celebration.

The Kowboys finished their regular-season home schedule and play at district foe Sebring Friday at 7:30 p.m. Osceola, pending a reschedule of the Liberty game, wraps up its regular season schedule Wednesday at the Lyman Invitational before the 5A-5 district tournament begins Feb. 7 at Davenport Ridge Community. Osceola can earn the No. 2 seed.

St. Cloud, 9-9, meets Eustis in a 4A-6 district game today at 7 p.m. The Bulldogs traveled to Oak Ridge Wednesday after Tuesday’s game was postponed. Celebration’s girls went to St. Cloud Wednesday.

Gateway slipped to 9-11 and 1-2 in district 6A-6 after a 44-43 loss at St. Lucie Treasure Coast last week. The Panthers will host district co-leader Vero Beach Friday at 7:30 p.m.

Heritage Christian, 17-2, beat Providence Christian, 73-14, Monday. The team’s game at Eastland Christian Tuesday has been moved to next Tuesday.
