Kissimmee Main Street will celebrate Valentine’s Day with the third annual Kiss-im-Mee 5 K Run Saturday, Feb. 12, at 7:30 a.m.
The event will promote heart health with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the American Heart Association.  According to a Kissimmee Main Street press release, participants are expected to enjoy a serene lakeshore run by Lake Tohopekaliga.  They will see some of Kissimmee’s historic homes and find great shopping and dining venues as they run through the downtown.
The race begins at Toho Square near 12 E. Darlington Ave. in downtown Kissimmee, where there is ample parking. Fees are $20 in advance, $25 after Feb. 6. Students (high school and below) are $15.
To register, visit http:// www.active.com.  In the search box, type in Kissimmee 5 K and in the Activity menu, select Running. This will take you to the link to register.
