The Osceola Kowboys will play for the consolation champonship against Lexington, S.C., today at 4 p.m. at the Great Florida Shootout basketball tournament at the Silver Spurs Arena.

Osceola beat Oviedo Wednesday, 70-59, to advance.  Osceola's victory denied Oviedo Coach Ed Kershner a record-setting 761st career victory for a Florida high school basketball coach.

Jedarian Jackson led the Kowboys with 25 points.

Lexington beat Christian County, Ky., 78-73 Wednesday.

Poinciana High will play a consolation game at 2:30 p.m.

The Shootout championship game at 8:30 p.m. will pit Orlando Lake Highland prep against Bishop McNamara High of Maryland.

The fifth-place and third-place games will preceed the championship game.

Tickets are $10 and $5 for students.
