Troy Hixon, of St. Cloud, was arrested Dec. 22 after a neighbor witnessed him throw his girlfriend to the ground and begin shooting a shotgun around her.

Osceola County Sheriff’s deputies responded to 4245 Deer Run Road in St. Cloud. After speaking with the witness and before deputies could speak with Hixon, 45, about the incident, he pointed the shotgun at deputies. Eventually, he put the shotgun down and told deputies he did not try to harm his girlfriend, Sheriff’s Office reports said. Based on the information provided by witnesses, Hixon was arrested and charged with aggravated assault domestic, aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer and battery.

While deputies were attempting to arrest Troy Hixon, his father, George Hixon, 73, of 4239 Deer Run Road, St. Cloud, began making threats toward the deputies. He continued to make threats about harming the deputies and attempted to go inside his residence to get his gun. Deputies arrested George Hixon and charged him with threats toward public officials.

George and Troy Hixon were booked into the Osceola County Jail. Both have since posted bail.
