Valencia Community College’s chorus groups are looking for new members for the spring term. Membership is open to all students, staff, faculty and community members.

There are two opportunities available:

Voices of Valencia – Sounds Across America: Voices of Valencia is a musical group for singers of all abilities. The group sings a wide variety of music at local community events. This spring, Voices of Valencia will present the music of America starting from California beach music to Wyoming cowboy tunes and continuing on to the music of Chicago, New York, Nashville, New Orleans and Orlando. Anyone can join Voices of Valencia and no auditions are required. To join Voices of Valencia, participants must register for the Valencia course MUN 1311, CRN No. 21621. Members will receive one hour of college credit. The course costs $91.73 for Florida residents. Seniors over age 59 and dual-enrolled students can join for free. The group will meet every Tuesday night, beginning Jan. 11 at 7 p.m. on Valencia’s East Campus, 701 N. Econlockhatchee Trail in Orlando.

Valencia A Cappella: The Valencia A Cappella group is holding auditions for the upcoming summer and fall semesters. The group sings the music of the Voices of Liberty from Epcot and performs at local events, resorts and other venues. Those interested in joining must be able to read music.
