During the 126th Silver Spurs Rodeo, haircuts will take place in conjunction with the Tough Enough to Wear Pink promotion at the event Friday, Feb. 18.
Not only will the Silver Spurs members wear pink to show their support, but these volunteers will continue to grow their long locks to donate toward the making of wigs for cancer patients who lost their hair due to medical treatment.
Prior to the first bucking bull, a dozen Silver Spurs members will have their hair cut by the stylists from Double J Salon & Spa in the center of the arena floor. During the rodeo, supporters of this cause may join it by visiting the temporary salon in place on concourse at the Silver Spurs Arena. Double J Salon & Spa will be on location Friday through Sunday. Participants wanting to donate the gift of hair can visit the professional salon stylists during each performance throughout the weekend.
The 126th PRCA Silver Spurs Rodeo, the largest rodeo in the Southeast, will be Feb. 18-20 at the Silver Spurs Arena in Kissimmee. Tickets are available starting Jan. 3 for $15 per person. Children 10 and under are free when accompanied by a paying adult. Get tickets in advance by calling 407-67RODEO.
