The city of St. Cloud Public Services’ Civil Engineer Mark Luthie is retiring after serving the city since October 1982. He was recognized for his hard work and dedication Dec. 9 during a regular council meeting.
“During Mark’s tenure with the city, he has participated in many notable projects,” Public Services Administrator Todd Swingle said. “Some of these projects include the road bond project in the mid-1980s that paved 25 miles of the grid’s dirt streets, the installation of the slurry wall around the St. Cloud landfill, numerous growth-related infrastructure projects in the 1990s, the grid stormwater upgrades and street rehabilitation efforts in the earlier part of this decade, and most recently, Nolte Road. We thank Mark for his many years of dedicated service and wish him well in his future endeavors.”
