The Mid Florida Corvette Club has once again paid a visit to the Osceola Country Council on Aging, presenting a check for $3,500 for the Senior Santa Program (that equates to 120 seniors sponsored), along with support for pet food to accompany the Meals on Wheels deliveries.
“Our club recognizes the efforts of the Osceola Council on Aging in helping the elderly in our community,” Larry Beery, chairman of charities for the Corvette club, said in a council press release. “This truly is an amazing organization and they definitely make a difference in the lives of people right here in our community our neighbors and friends in many cases.”
The Senior Santa program is celebrating more than 20 years of providing nutrition, gifts and companionship during the holidays, for many a lonely and isolated time of year.
The Corvette club has more than 30 members, but other “motor heads” are welcome to join, according to the release.  Interested persons can call Beery at 407-892-1841. For more information on the Senior Santa program or other council services, call 407-846-8541.
The council is at 700 Generation Point, Kissimmee.
