Rec basketball
The city of Kissimmee Parks and Recreation Department extended registration for the Kissimmee Youth Basketball League through Jan. 5.
The fee is $50, which includes a jersey. After Jan. 5, the fee is $60 (if space is available). Practices begin Jan. 10. The season is from Jan. 22 to Feb. 26. Practice will be one night a week at Denn John Middle School Gym, with games played on Saturdays at the Kissimmee Civic Center.
Teams are based on age: pee wee (age 7-8); midget (age 9-11); junior (age 12-14) and senior ( age 15-17).
Registration is accepted weekdays from noon to 5:30 p.m. at the Fortune Road Athletic Complex or by registering online at www.kissimmeeparks.org, or by faxing the form to 407-847-8224.
