The Osceola County Sheriff's Office arrested and charged a male suspect with three burglaries Thursday after he allegedly committed the crimes in the Harmony area.

At about 2:11 a.m., deputies responded to a Red Lantern Drive home in reference to an occupied burglary. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the victim who said she was awakened when her bedroom light was turned on and she saw a black male, who then fled the home. The suspect also took a mail package from the front porch of the home, Sheriff's Office reports said.

While deputies were looking for the suspect, they responded to two more homes in Harmony that had been burglarized, reports said. Victim homeowners on Forty Banks Road told deputies they were sleeping and awoke to a black male in their home.

A short time later, deputies located the suspect in the neighborhood and arrested him for three counts of residential burglary and one count of theft. He was booked into the Osceola County Jail as John Doe because he failed to provide proper identification to deputies.
