On Nov. 17, the Knights of Columbus, Council 6624 of St. Cloud-Kissimmee during its November Social honored the members of law enforcement and fire and rescue officers who vow to protect and serve our community.
Grand Knight Bill Waggener delivered a speech in their honor.
"The Knights of Columbus would like to personally thank each and every member of these great organizations for the service they provide to our community,” he said. “However, it is impossible for us to reach out to all that serve, so those that are here tonight have been selected by their leadership as the best of the best, and that is who we are here to honor tonight.”
He continued, “I know that you and your peers get little thanks or recognition for the outstanding job that you all do on a daily basis, and this is our way of showing you are appreciation. May the work that you have demonstrated inspire your fellow officers to aspire to your level of achievement.”
