The annual tradition of the city of St. Cloud tree lighting, parade, and craft festival festivities is scheduled for Dec. 3-5. The public is reminded that portions of downtown St. Cloud will be closed to vehicular traffic during these three days.
Friday, Dec. 3:
Annual tree lighting celebration: 9th Street, from Pennsylvania Avenue to New York Avenue, and New York Avenue, from 10th Street to 9th Street, will be closed. Activities begin at 6 p.m. at City Hall. For more details about this event, call (407) 957-7243.
Saturday, Dec. 4:
Annual St. Cloud Greater Osceola Chamber of Commerce Holiday Parade: The parade begins at 10 a.m. at the lakefront, through Pennsylvania Avenue, 9th Street, New York Avenue, 10th Street, Pennsylvania Avenue, 12th Street, Massachusetts Avenue, and ends at the lakefront. Portions of these streets will be closed to vehicular traffic starting at approximately 7 a.m. until about 1 p.m. Along Lakeshore Boulevard, the streets will be closed starting at Vermont Avenue and Michigan Avenue for entry check-ins. Streets will have barricades one block out from the parade route, on the west side, Kentucky Avenue to the lakefront and on the east side, Florida Avenue. Dec. 4, 5:
Annual St. Cloud Craft Festival: This event is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day on New York Avenue. New York Avenue, from 10th Street to 12th Street will be closed and portions of 11th Street, from New York Avenue to Massachusetts Avenue and New York Avenue to Pennsylvania Avenue will be closed.
