On Sunday the Kissimmee Bay Country Club and Remington Golf Club are helping the less fortunate this Thanksgiving season.
For every person who plays golf at either club, 1 pound of turkey will be donated to the Osceola County Council on Aging.
The council serves as a food bank for Osceola County and serves and delivers Thanksgiving dinner to seniors and less fortunate residents of Osceola County.
“Every year folks buy lots of canned goods to donate, turkey is what we’re always short on because it’s hard for folks to donate that much” Janice Casler, from the council, said.
The clubs had more than 300 players last year, which translates to more than 300 pounds of turkey donated.
“We wanted to step up to the plate and help this great organization that does so much for our community,” Buck Stine, general manager at Kissimmee Bay, said.
