LawsonSonnyLAWSON - James F. "Sonny" Lawson passed away at 80 years of age on November 5, 2010.  A member of a pioneer Osceola County family, he was born in Kissimmee, the son of Dick F. Lawson and Evelyn Donica Lawson. He was a retired Eastern Airlines Captain and was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Kissimmee.
He raised thoroughbred horses and cattle. He was a graduate of the University of Florida with a B.S. degree in Animal Husbandry, a member of the University of Florida Bull Gators, Houston Astros Boosters, Florida Thoroughbred Breeder's Association, Silver Spurs, Osceola Cattlemen’s Association and Airline Pilots Association (ALPA). He was the youngest student pilot to receive his license at the age of 17 from instructor Bill Seel at the Kissimmee airport in 1947.
He was preceded in death by his son, Marc Lawson, and his sister, Betty Kay Lawson. Sonny is survived by his adoring, loving wife of 60 years Jewell Johnston Lawson; daughters: Cathy Snyder of St. Cloud, Stacy Peet of Ocala; brother: Robert M. Lawson of Kissimmee; grandchildren: Jennifer Hiracheta of Kissimmee, Kimberly Baxter of Cooper City, Florida, Christopher Snyder of St. Cloud, Matthew Penn of Virginia, Danielle Penn of Orlando, Bill Lawson of Kissimmee, Cathy Heyde of Marion, Illinois; 6 great grandchildren: Kayleigh, Jordan, Amy, Cole, Rafe and Rylee.
He was a very generous man, kind and loyal to his family and friends. He was strong willed and considered to be the patriarch of the family. He is loved deeply and will be missed by each and everyone who knew him.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Conrad & Thompson Funeral Home.  A Service to Celebrate the Life of James F. "Sonny" Lawson will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at Conrad & Thompson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Cathy Thacker officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Kissimmee. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Resource Center, 1506 Lake Highland Drive, Orlando Florida 32803.

McMahanRobertMcMAHAN - Robert "Bob" McMahan, 53, of St. Cloud, Florida passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2010 at Osceola Regional Medical Center in Kissimmee.  Robert was born on May 2, 1957 in Portsmouth, Ohio, the son of Fred E. McMahan and Jeanine (Riley) McMahan. Mr. McMahan proudly served our country for eight years in the United States Navy.   He married Elizabeth "Jody"  who survives.  
He is also survived by his mother of St. Cloud; daughter, Angela McMahan of St. Cloud; sons, Joshua McMahan of St. Cloud and Steven Raulerson of Leesburg, FL; a brother, Tom (Jenny) and their children Michael and Jonathan of St. Cloud; two sisters, Deanna (Randy) Walker and their daughter Halie  of  Orlando and Sherri (Dennis) Longstaff of Orlando; nieces, Amanda Raulerson of Jacksonville, FL, Stephanie Diez Raulerson of Panama City, FL and Milissa Raulerson of Germany; and a nephews, Noah & Aaron Raulerson both of St. Cloud. He was preceded in death by his father.
Family and friends may visit in the funeral home chapel from 1-5 p.m. on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 with a celebration of his life to be conducted at 3:00 p.m. with the Reverend Dick Mangham officiating. STATUTO - Elena “Helen” Statuto, a Chelsea native  and a long-time resident of Revere, died on October 25 in the Osceola Regional Medical Center in Kissimmee, FL, following a brief illness. She was 87 years old.
Mrs. Statuto was born, raised and educated in Chelsea. In 1950 she married the late Armenio ‘Mal’ Statuto of Revere and moved to this city. She lived in Revere until moving to Kissimmee, FL.
Mrs. Statuto retired from the former American Optical Co where she worked as an assembler for many years. For the past 24 years she has been a devout parishioner of Holy Redeemer Church of Kissimmee, FL.
She was the wife of the late Armenio ‘Mal’ Statuto who died in April of 1998; the sister of Anthony Minchella and his wife, Marion, of Springfield, MA, Rosemarie Quagliato and her husband, Anthony, of East Longmeadow and the late Michelene Roma, Margaret Rubino and Anna Noto. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. She was also the sister-in-law of Eda M. Corso of Revere, Mary A. Fulchino of Reading and the late Aurelio and Albert Statuto.
