A Lynx bus struck two young brothers in a Kissimmee crosswalk Thursday night, killing one, Kissimmee Police Department reports stated.

Kissimmee Police’s Traffic Homicide Unit was investigating the fatality at press time Friday morning. The incident occurred at the intersection of Columbia Avenue and Dyer Boulevard.

According to police reports, at about 7 p.m. Thursday, the Lynx bus was traveling north on Dyer Boulevard, when it turned west onto Columbia Avenue and struck 10-year-old Mathew Robinson and 12-year-old Mark Robinson in the crosswalk. Mathew was pronounced dead at the scene. Mark was transported to a local hospital. His condition was unknown.

No charges had been filed at press time and the investigation is ongoing.
