Suspect

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office was searching for a female armed robbery suspect at press time Friday who robbed a taxi driver at knifepoint Oct. 28.

According to Sheriff’s Office reports, at about 10:43 p.m., deputies responded to the Buena Vista Motel, 5200 W. U.S. Highway 192 in Kissimmee. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with a taxi cab driver who said he was approached at the Walmart, at 3250 Vineland Road, by an unknown black female who said she needed a ride to the motel. The woman entered the vehicle and sat directly behind the driver. When they arrived at the motel, she lunged forward and placed a knife against the driver’s throat, demanding money and the keys to his vehicle, Sheriff’s Office reports said. After taking the driver’s items, she fled the area on foot through the parking lot northbound near West U.S. Highway 192.

The suspect was described in her mid 20s, about 5 feet 2 inches tall and 160 pounds. She was wearing a yellow tank top with blue jeans. Her hair was pulled back into a ponytail and she had a tattoo resembling a sun on the upper portion of her chest.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office at 407-348-2222 or Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS (8477).
