Skate fundraiser

A fundraiser for Kissimmee roller figure skating national champion Jessica Feuerstein  is Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Skate Reflections, 1111 Dyer Blvd., Kissimmee.

Feuerstein will make her fourth trip to the world championships in Portugal next month. She was the runner-up in Junior Figures last year and has placed among the top four in all of her international competitions.

Proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit all U.S. skaters competing in Portugal. Several skaters will perform exhibition routines.

Cat golf tourney

The 4th annual Cat Scratch Fever golf tournament to benefit Spay the Strays will be held at Kissimmee Bay Country Club Saturday. The four-person scramble begins at 8 a.m. The fee is $65 and includes lunch and prizes.

Spay the Strays is a St. Cloud-based organization that traps stray cats, sterilizes them, then releases them where they were found.

Rec basketball

The city of Kissimmee Parks and Recreation Department will begin accepting registration for the Kissimmee Youth Basketball League from through Dec. 8. The fee is $50. Registration after Dec. 8 will incur a $10 late fee. Registration is accepted weekdays from noon to 5:30 p.m. at the Fortune Road Athletic Complex or by registering online at www.kissimmeeparks.org or by faxing the form to 407-847-8224.
