The pumpkin is carved and the costume selected — the only thing left is to decide what to do for Halloween.

The big events, as usual, are at the theme parks with Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights, Disney’s Not So Scary event and SeaWorld’s Spootacular event taking top honors.

The lines will be long at Universal for the horror nights, one of the most popular Halloween events in the country. If available and you just have to go, buy one of the VIP packages. It is in addition to Halloween Horror Nights admission, but it is the only way to make it through all of the haunted houses on Halloween night. For more information call 407-363-8000.

Likewise, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Event, also will be crowded, and most likely sold out for tonight, Halloween. You do get one more chance at trick-or-treating throughout the Magic Kingdom Sunday. Event hours are 7 p.m. to midnight. In addition to tricks and treats, there is a spooky parade and fireworks show. Call 407-939-6244 for more information.

SeaWorld’s Spooktacular also ends tonight, and it includes treats and Halloween-themed fun. The Spooktacular is included with regular SeaWorld admission. For more information call 888-800-5447.
