A Boynton Beach resident, William Wilke, 26, was killed Friday, Oct. 22, at about 8:15 p.m. in a three-vehicle crash on State Road 60 west of Peavine Road in Osceola County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Wilke, driving a Chevrolet Aveo, was traveling east on State Road 60, west of Peavine Road. A Chrysler SUV, driven by Branden Louis Alfieri, 21, of Boca Raton, was westbound on State Road 60. A third vehicle, a semi, driven by Danny R. Frederick, 45, of Kentucky, was eastbound on State Road 60, behind Wilke.

Wilke strayed partially into the westbound lane of travel, with the front left of his vehicle colliding with the vehicle driven by Alfieri. Wilke’s vehicle came to a rest in the eastbound lane of State Road 60 facing south, where its back end was hit by the semi.

Frederick was not injured in the crash and Alfieri received minor injuries. Three passengers in Alfieri’s vehicle were injured, two of them seriously. A passenger in Frederick’s vehicle sustained minor injuries.
