The Orange Belt Conference cross country meet next Wednesday at Harmony should be a good one for the host Lady Longhorns.

The Harmony girls are the defending champions, and favorites to repeat.

The St. Cloud boys, second last year, seem poised to take the title from two-time defending champion Gateway.

The meet begins at 4:30 p.m. with the JV races, followed by the varsity runs.

Harmony’s Sam Travis won the race last year, and sisters Chelsea and Brittany Connor also are capable of winning for Harmony.

St. Cloud’s Bailey Morgan, Matt Cole, Carlos Perez, Antonio Montalvo, Eric Ratliff and Sean Wood all are capable of running in the 17s or better, St. Cloud boys Coach Kevin Harkema said.

Celebration’s Quincy O’Connor and Liberty’s Robbie Johnroe are favorites for the boys individual championship.
