Harmony and St. Cloud High sports teams and activities organizations will unite to “Make A Difference” for Osceola County’s needy by taking cash and food donations for the St. Cloud Food Pantry Oct. 23 and Oct. 30 at Winn-Dixie and Publix supermarkets.
Originally the idea of Harmony baseball coach Mike Fields, the high school students have raised funds and collected food donations for the St. Cloud Food Pantry for several years.
On Oct. 23, the Harmony girls soccer team and members of Harmony’s National Honor Society will collect food and cash donations at the Winn-Dixie at the intersection of U.S. Highways 15 and 192.
The same day, the Harmony and St. Cloud baseball teams will take food and cash donations at the Winn-Dixie located on Canoe Creek Road.
On Oct. 30, the St. Cloud girls basketball team and the Harmony baseball team will take cash donations at Publix at the intersection of U.S. Highways 15 and 192.
The students will offer customers entering the store an information sheet about “Make A Difference Day” and accept donations as the customers exit.
