Bookmark Buddies needed to mentor

The Bookmark Buddies Mentoring Program, a program of The Education Foundation-Osceola County, is an opportunity for anybody to make a difference in the life of a child.
Third-graders in Osceola County need help to practice and improve their reading skills before the important FCAT testing this spring.
Bookmark Buddies mentors contribute 30 minutes of volunteer time each week. They mentor at one of 20 local elementary schools and are matched one-on-one with a third-grade student, who is reading below grade level. All mentors are trained at the school site before starting to work with a student, and no prior tutoring experience is necessary. All materials are provided.
