On Sept. 28 at approximately 6:32 a.m., Osceola County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the area of Monterey Road and Van Loon Court in Poinciana where they spoke with a complainant who reported seeing a 3-year-old boy walking down the street alone.

As deputies were trying to determine where the boy lived, a man, later identified as Adam Teltchik, 33, of Poinciana, stopped to speak with them. Teltchik, a registered felon, told deputies he was taking another child in his care to a bus stop and the 3-year-old boy might have gotten out of the car.

Teltchik later changed his story and indicated he was sleeping at his residence and when he awoke, the 3-year-old boy was gone. He left two other children, a 5-year-old and 6-year-old, alone at the residence while he looked for the 3-year-old.

Deputies went back to the residence with Teltchik and observed the house to be dirty and in disarray. Further investigation revealed that a week before, deputies responded to a similar incident involving one of the children who had walked away from the residence.

Based on the evidence and information provided by Telchik, he was arrested and charged with three counts of child neglect.
