You’re gonna need a bigger bag.

Three hours into the Magic Kingdom’s five-hour-long Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and there wasn’t room for even one more Tootsie Roll Pop.

And that is one of the fun things about the Magic Kingdom’s annual Halloween event — big or small, young or old — no one goes home empty-handed.

The candy never stops at the Not-So-Scary party and with trick-or-treat stations set up throughout the theme park, it doesn’t take long for the supplied trick-or-treat bag to start getting full.

Trick-or-treat tip: The later in the night, the less crowded the lines, and Disney cast members usually get more generous with the candy as well.

Also, if your legs are up to it and can last until midnight, the theme park looks at lot more spooky in the waning minutes of the party, as the crowds lessen. Cinderella’s Castle, the Haunted Mansion and many other Disney favorite’s are “dressed up” for Halloween.

The other major Not-So-Scary Halloween Party event is Mickey’s Boo-to You Halloween Parade with the Haunted Mansion parade of floats a definite highlight as well as the green and orange fireworks. Many favorite Disney characters also can be found throughout the Magic Kingdom for meet and greet sessions.

Costumes are encouraged at the party so feel free to get creative. Costumes often become a themed family event, like the mom dressed as Cruella de Vil and husband and three sons dressed up as dalmatians. And dressing up isn’t just for the youngsters. Lots of couples also show up in themed attire.

The Not-So-Scary Halloween Party continues on select nights at the Magic Kingdom through Nov. 1.

Party dates are: today, 28, 30; Oct. 1, 3, 7, 8, 11, 12, 14, 17, 19, 21, 22, 24, 26, 28, 29, 31; and Nov. 1.

Ticket prices are $59.95 (ages 10 and up) and $53.95 (ages 3-9) for all dates except Oct. 29 and Oct. 31 when tickets cost $64.95 (ages 10 and up) and $58.95 (ages 3-9). Advance purchase (prior to event day) savings of $6 per ticket are available for the parties on Sept. 25, 28, 30; Oct. 1, 3, 7, 11, 12, 14, 17, 19, 21, 24, 26; and Nov. 1.

Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade takes place at 8:15 and 10:30 p.m. and the Happy HalloWishes fireworks spectacular is at 9:30 p.m.
