The Kissimmee Police Department will be offering a free self-defense class for women Oct. 16 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Kissimmee Police Department.
The class will be taught by self-defense instructor Keith Mobley and Sgt. Jaime Alberti. The instructors will be teaching women some easy techniques on how to defend themselves should they become a victim. They also will discuss crime prevention tips.
“It is important for women to be able to defend themselves should they become a victim of crime,” Chief Fran Iwanski said. “Educating yourself is the best way to lessen your chances of becoming a victim.”
