A Kissimmee man was killed shortly after midnight Saturday morning in a one-vehicle crash near the Royal Palm Drive and Tijuana Drive intersection in Buenaventura Lakes.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, William Rivera, 52, was driving south on Royal Palm Drive in a 2002 Toyota van when he failed to negotiate a curve and traveled off the roadway, striking a tree with the left side of his vehicle. The van spun around and hit another tree with its right side.

Rivera was transported to Florida Hospital Kissimmee, where he was pronounced dead.
