Osceola travels to Agape Christian for a rare Saturday night game with an equally rare 0-3 record.

The Kowboys were unable to muster enough offense to supplement an outstanding defensive effort in a 20-0 loss to Daytona Beach Mainland (1-2) last week at Kowboys field.

Kowboys sophomore quarterback Deshawn Congreaves, in for injured Kieron Williams, led the team on a 14-play drive in the first quarter that stalled at the Bucs 33.

Two of Mainland’s TD drives started deep in Kowboys territory, from 39 and 14 yards away.

“The defense played their tails off. (Defensive coordinator) Scott Spencer and his staff did a tremendous job in getting the defense ready,” Nichols said. “I thought Deshawn did a good job for us. He didn’t make any big mistakes, and did exactly what we asked him to do.”

Linebacker Akeem Francis, back after a shoulder injury, led the Kowboys with 11 tackles.

Agape Christian, 1-1, was open last week after beating Ocala Christian, 47-0. Agape lost its opening game at Ware County, Ga., 46-0.

“Ware County is a real strong program in Georgia,” Nichols said.

The game is at the Orlando Sports Campus on South Rio Grande Avenue.
