On Sept. 15 at approximately 9 p.m. Osceola County Investigative Bureau agents in conjunction with the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office conducted a special operation on the Florida’s Turnpike near the Canoe Creek Service Plaza in Osceola County.
In the operation, agents arrested two suspects, Lazaro Piloto-Gomez, 45, and Jose Marante, 45, both of 4450 N.W. 196th St., Carol City, and charged them with trafficking in cannabis. Agents also recovered 38 pounds of marijuana, $2,285 in cash and a vehicle.
Gomez and Marante were booked into the Osceola County Jail on $25,000 bond.
