Osceola County Emergency Management Specialist Pedro Carrasquillo recently earned the Florida Professional Emergency Manager’s certification from the Florida Emergency Preparedness Association (FEPA).
The certification recognizes full-time professionals who have devoted a minimum of four years to the emergency management profession and achieved a high level of training and management.
FEPA is a statewide organization dedicated to advancing emergency management planning and preparedness activities at the local and state level. Membership is comprised of local government emergency management agencies; emergency response agencies; representatives of industrial, commercial, educational, military, private non-governmental and volunteer organizations and professionals in all careers specializing in emergency management functions.
Carrasquillo is the third Osceola County Emergency Management employee to achieve the FPEM certification this year, joining Richard Halquist and Bob Howard who earned certification in February.
“By working hard to achieve his FPEM certification, Pedro has demonstrated his commitment to excellence and professionalism in serving the citizens of Osceola County. We in Emergency Management, along with our community partners, are proud of his accomplishments,” Dave Casto, Osceola County emergency management director, said.
