Two men were hospitalized with injuries Friday after a gasoline tanker truck they were riding in overturned in Buenaventura Lakes.

According to Florida Highway Patrol reports, Paul Kutcher, 38, of Orlando, was driving the 1994 International tanker truck south on Buenaventura Boulevard near Competition Drive at about 3:55 p.m., when, according to a witness, an unknown vehicle attempted to change lanes, causing Kutcher to swerve to avoid it, patrol reports said.

The tanker, which was carrying 8,700 gallons of fuel, left the roadway and overturned. However, no fuel leaked out, troopers said.

Kutcher and his passenger, Anthony Pereira-Ferraro, 27, of Kissimmee, were transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center with serious injuries. The crash is under investigation and charges are pending.
