Osceola County Sheriff's detectives need the public's help in locating a vehicle possibly involved in an early morning road rage incident that led to the death of a man Sunday.
At about 12:36 a.m., Sheriff's Office deputies responded to 7-Eleven located at 1600 Pleasant Hill Road in reference to a shooting. When units arrived, they spoke with witnesses who indicated a burgundy Chevrolet pickup truck pulled into the parking lot and the driver had appeared to have been shot. The driver, Joshua Levi Burch, 20, of Lake Wales, was transported to Osceola Regional Medical Center and later died.
Detectives are looking for a black or Hispanic male driving a newer model, black, SUV, possibly a Nissan that was driving northbound on Pleasant Hill Road a mile from U.S. Highway 17-92.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Osceola County Sheriff's Office at 407-348-2222 or Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS (8477). Calls made to Crimeline remain anonymous and, tips to Crimeline that lead to the felony arrest of suspects and/or the recovery of stolen property and drugs are eligible for cash rewards of up to $1,000 dollars.
