Lisa Bacen has been appointed director of East Coast Technical Assistance Center (ECTAC), according to the Osceola County School District.
Bacen began her career in education as a substitute teacher for Polk County and Lake Stevens School Districts in 1999. She has been employed by the Florida Department of Education serving as staff assistant (2003-04), educational policy consultant (2004-06); education program director, Title 1, Part A and Title VI (2007-08); education program director, School Improvement (2008-09); and chief, Bureau of Federal Education Programs (2009-10).
Bacen also served as an education specialist at the East Coast Technical Assistance Center from 2006-07. The director of ECTAC position services and is financially supported by 29 Florida school districts.
Bacen earned her bachelor's degree in anthropology at the University of Florida and her master's degree in public administration with coursework in elementary education at the University of Central Florida.

Katrina Sanders, the new assistant principal of Reedy Creek Elementary School, began her career in the Osceola County School District in 1997.
Sanders has served as an elementary teacher at Partin Settlement and Mill Creek elementary schools (1997-2007); a literacy coach at Flora Ridge Elementary School (2007-08); a CHILD/ Gifted resource teacher in the district Elementary Curriculum and Instruction (2008-09); and most recently as the literacy coach at Thacker Avenue Elementary School for International Studies (2009 to present.)
Sanders earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of South Alabama and her master’s degree in curriculum and instruction and her specialist’s degree in educational leadership from National-Louis University.
