The Florida Hospital Cancer Institute at Kissimmee is currently displaying the artwork of the Lilly Oncology on Canvas art competition and exhibition that honors the journey of those confronted with any form of cancer.
Cancer patients, survivors, their families, friends, caregivers and health care providers created inspiring pieces to express the challenges and meaning behind their experiences. Lilly partners with the National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship, which advocates for quality cancer care for all Americans, to hold this competition every two years.
The artwork will be displayed through Friday.
“We are very excited to showcase the artwork of these inspiring people and support those affected by this disease,” Dr. David Decker, medical director of the institute said. “We hope the community will be touched by their stories and incredible strength and courage.”
The cancer center is located at 1300 W. Oak St. in Kissimmee.
