Overdrive golf

The Osceola Overdrive Fastpitch softball travel organization will host its 5th Annual Golf Tournament at the Kissimmee Golf Club Sept. 18 at 8 a.m. Cost per team is $270 and includes lunch from Full Throttle BBQ.  To sponsor a hole or to reserve a spot, contact Keith Pereira at 321-689-2387.

Youth Softball

The Osceola Youth Softball League will hold fall registration at Oren Brown Park, 3511 Baker Dr., Kissimmee (off Hoagland Boulevard) for girls, ages 4-14, from 10 a.m. to noon today, and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 28.

Today is Come-n-Try Day. New players rotate through pitching, catching, and batting skills.  Fees are $65 per player, which includes a jersey and field equipment. All new players must provide a copy of their birth certificate to register. Coaches and assistant coaches are needed, especially in the 8-U division.

All new players must attend Assessment Day Aug. 28: 8-U at 10 a.m.; 10-U at 11 a.m. and 14-U at noon.
