Madison to be featured guest Friday at New York Artist Shop

The New York Artist Shop, 1124 New York Ave., St. Cloud, will host an artist reception from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. This month’s featured artist will be Ralph Madison.
“Painting has always brought me a great joy and a deeper appreciation for the world we live in. I am a 74-year-old, self-taught artist that has a great love for painting the outdoors and continually inspired by its wonder and beauty,” Madison said.
“My paintings have developed from my early childhood in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley in Virginia. I have an overpowering desire to capture and bring to life the beauty of God’s creation. The beauty of nature is a gift beyond measure. When you look closely you will increase your perception and see all of the hidden detail that makes the beautiful extraordinary.
“My goal as an artist is to put feeling into my paintings that will bring joy to the viewer and a closer connection and appreciation for the world we live in.” The New York Artists Shop hosts a featured artist reception on the third Friday of every month. Browse through a unique and eclectic display of artwork offered by many different local artists. Refreshments are served during the artist receptions.
