St. Cloud Mayor Donna Hart proclaimed the week of Aug. 16-20 as Florida Water Professionals Week in St. Cloud during a regular council meeting at City Hall on Aug. 12.
“Our water professionals dedicate themselves to producing and distributing safe drinking water and maintaining wastewater and stormwater systems,” Hart said. “The Florida Water and Pollution Control Operators Association recognizes all of those who play a significant part in operating and maintaining drinking water, wastewater and stormwater systems in Florida by celebrating a Florida Water Professionals Week. I proclaim this week here in St. Cloud to ensure that we recognize our water professionals for their constant efforts to offer the best services possible and to protect our health and environment.”
The Florida Water and Pollution Control Operators Association is an organization of members engaged in the production, treatment and distribution of drinking water; the collection, treatment and disposal of wastewater; and/ or the collection and treatment of stormwater.
