Longhorns run

Harmony High will hold its inaugural Longhorns  5K Run/Walk Saturday to benefit the Longhorns football program and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Register at www.horns5k.com.

Overdrive golf

The Osceola Overdrive Fastpitch softball travel organization will host its 5th Annual Golf Tournament at the Kissimmee Golf Club Sept. 18 at 8 a.m.

Cost per team is $270 and             includes lunch from Full Throttle BBQ.  To sponsor a hole or to reserve a spot, contact Keith Pereira at 321-689-2387.

Osc. Youth Softball

The Osceola Youth Softball League will hold fall registration at Oren Brown Park, 3511 Baker Dr., Kissimmee (off Hoagland Boulevard) for girls, ages 4-14, from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday and Aug. 28 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Saturday is Come-n-Try Day. New players rotate through pitching, catching, and batting skills.  Fees are $65 per player which includes a jersey and field equipment. All new players must provide a copy of their birth certificate to register. Coaches and assistant coaches are needed, especially in the 8-U division.

All new players must attend Assessment Day Aug. 28: 8-U at 10 a.m.; 10-U at 11 a.m. and 14-U at noon.

SC Little League

St. Cloud Little League will hold fall registration for fall baseball from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, and Sept. 4 at the St. Cloud Civic Center, 3001 17th St.

Kissimmee softball

The city of Kissimmee Parks and Recreatiion Department is holding registration for the fall softball leagues weekdays from noon to 6 p.m. at the Fortune Road Athletic Complex, 2500 Fortune Road, Kissimmee.

Umpire’s clinic

The city of Kissimmee Parks and Recreation Department will host an umpire’s clinic for anyone interested in becoming a slow pitch softball umpire for the city leagues.

The free one-day clinic is 8:30 a.m. Aug. 28 at the Fortune Road Athletic Complex, 2500 Fortune Road, Kissimmee.

Youth soccer

Club Kissimmee Youth League soccer will hold registration for players ages 4-14 for the fall season.

Registration Wednesday will be from 5 to 7 p.m. at 2391 Fortune Road, Kissimmee. Registration Sunday and Aug. 29 will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 2204 Denn John Lane, Kissimmee.

The fee is $50 for returning players and $60 for new players.

Players must provide original birth certificates and copies, a 1-by-1 photo, a registration packet and notarized medical consent forms.

Charity golf

The 2nd Annual Community Charity Golf Tournament Presented by CenterState Bank is Aug. 28 with an 8 a.m. shotgun start.

The fee is $65 per player or $260 per team. Proceeds benefit the St. Cloud Food Pantry and the Council on Aging Meals on Wheels program.

Osceola Youth Baseball is holding summer and fall baseball registration for its Osceola Outlaws 10-U and 10-AA competitive programs.

KSA swimming

The Kissimmee Swimming Association is accepting new swimmers.

Swimmers must be at least age 5 who can swim freestyle and backstroke. KSA also is accepting swimmers age 18 or older for its masters program.

Open volleyball

The Kissimmee Athletics Division offers adult open gym volleyball at Denn John Middle School Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost is $3 per player and clean, non-marking court shoes are required.

American Tennis

The American Tennis Club (ATC) is accepting registration for children ages 12-under for its Quick Start Tennis Clinics.

The USTA (United States Tennis Association) Quick Start Tennis is an entry level program for new players. Quick Start Tennis will be at the ATL complex at the Ramada Inn, 6375 U.S. Highway 192 (across from Celebration).
