Osceola County Sheriff's Office deputies, along with the Community Response Team West, have arrested four suspects allegedly involved in more than 41 burglaries, fraud and identity theft cases.

In May, deputies were investigating a car burglary and identified four suspects involved in this incident and numerous car burglaries in Central Florida. Deputies obtained search warrants for their residence at 116 Aurelia Court in Poinciana and three storage units in Orange County. They reportedly discovered hundreds of stolen items, including jewelry, personal identification, credit cards and furniture.

Detectives discovered that the suspects, identified as Robin Adkins, Darryl Lewis, Christopher Hitch and Tremaine Weekly, would assume the victims' identities and use their identification cards, credit cards and bank checks to make purchases throughout Florida. In addition, the suspects applied for credit, filed tax returns and purchased vehicles using the victims' information. Detectives were able to recover 366 stolen items and identify 147 victims from 23 jurisdictions in Central Florida.

On Tuesday, Adkins, Lewis, Hitch and Weekly were arrested and booked into the Osceola County Jail. In addition to Osceola County charges, the state prosecutor has numerous fraud and burglary charges for crimes in other Central Florida counties. At press time Friday, the investigation was continuing.

Adkins, 39, was charged with two counts of conveyance burglary, grand theft, criminal mischief, and faces statewide charges of one count of organized fraud, one count of conspiracy to commit identity theft with more than 10 victims, one count of conspiracy to commit conveyance burglary and two counts of burglary.

Lewis, 33, was charged with two counts of conveyance burglary, grand theft, criminal mischief, and faces statewide charges of one count of organized fraud, one count of conspiracy to commit identity theft with more than 10 victims, one count of conspiracy to commit conveyance burglary and three counts of identity theft.

Hitch, 23, was charged with two counts of conveyance burglary, grand theft, criminal mischief, and charged statewide with one count of organized fraud, one count of conspiracy to commit identity theft with more than 10 victims, two counts of conspiracy to commit conveyance burglary and three counts of identity theft.

Weekly, 18, was charged with two counts of conveyance burglary, grand theft, criminal mischief, and charged statewide with one count of organized fraud, one count of conspiracy to commit identity theft with more than 10 victims, two counts of conspiracy to commit conveyance burglary and two counts of identity theft.
