MELVILLE – Yvonne Helen Melville, age 79 of Granville, New York, passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2007, after a long illness. She was a longtime resident of Westford, Massachusetts and then Kissimmee, Florida following her retirement. Her husband Paul Melville, a daughter Susan Boisvert and a sister Lillian Gallagher preceded her in death.
Yvonne was born on April 10, 1928, in Cambridge, Massachusetts to the late Charles Pierce and Olive (Bryant) Pierce. She was raised in Cambridge where she graduated from Cambridge High & Latin School and the Burdett School of Business.
She spent many years at Emerson Hospital in Concord, Massachusetts where she managed the insurance billing department. She enjoyed reading mysteries, line and square dancing, playing bingo and cribbage, knitting, bird watching, walking and the company of friends and family.
She is survived by two daughters, Karen Gallo (Richard) of Orlando, Florida, Lisa Dennison (Donald) of Queensbury, New York, her son, Michael Melville of Malvern, Pennsylvania, a sister, Louise Zenga of Chelmsford, Massachusetts and five grandchildren, Paul Hreha, Laura Gallo, Phillip Gallo, Sydney Dennison and Isabella Dennison.
A memorial service will be held at St. Catherine’s Church in Westford, Massachusetts, in the spring and details will be provided at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Indian River Rehabilitation Center, 17 Madison Street, Granville, New York 12832.

 

MOODY – Lois Faye Moody, 81, of League City, Texas passed away December 8, 2007.  She was born August 22, 1926 in Kis­simmee, Florida to General Floyd and Edna (Babb) Yates. 
Lois loved crossword puzzles and was a “champion” in Scrabble.  Long time member of the American Legion in Florida.  She was a very giving and kindhearted person, she loved everyone.  Lois was married in 1964 in Marion County, Florida to Lee Roy Moody.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Roy Moody, Private First Class, WWII Veteran; her parents; daughter, Linda Richardson; son, Donald Davidson; brother, Earl Yates; sisters, Thelma Thomas and Alveena Rodgers; one grandson, one granddaughter; and three great-grandchildren. 
She is survived by her daughters, Karen Striz, Patricia Konvicka, Peggy Ethridge, Sherry Moore, Diana Roberts, and Donna McElreath; son, Rick Davidson; sister, Marcella Wickham; grandchildren: Glenn and Steven McClendon, Michael Brown, Richard and Johnny Hunter, Tracie and Ronnie Ethridge, Ricky Davidson, Eric and Casey Hawkins, David and Michael Roberts, Kayla McElreath, Travis, Kimmey and Greg, April, Jamie and Misty Davidson; and seventeen great-grandchildren. 
The Funeral Service was held December 12, 2007 at the Jeter Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, Friendswood, Texas, with the Rev. Roger Patterson officiating.  The burial followed at the Houston National Cemetery.
