Floridians get fewest stimulus dollars

An extensive national analysis of stimulus benefits by USA Today found that Florida ranked last in the nation in benefits per resident from the federal assistance package.
The newspaper’s analysis found Florida received $1,262 per person in stimulus benefits, far behind less populous states with much lower unemployment. Alaska got the most with $3,505 per person, according to the paper, which looked at direct government spending from the stimulus package, tax breaks and cash benefits, including unemployment checks.
