Osceola County Sheriff's Office deputies have arrested 24-year-old Edwin Machuca-Rivera, a transient, for falsifying an armed robbery report.

On Aug. 3 at approximately 7:40 p.m., deputies responded to Parkside Motel, 4651 W. U.S. Highway 192, Kissimmee, in reference to an armed robbery. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the victim who said he was robbed by three black males at gunpoint while waiting at a bus stop.

After further investigation and inconsistencies in his story, the victim told deputies he lied about the incident. He was booked into the Osceola County Jail as John Doe, but was later identified as Machuca-Rivera.
